2025 Team GME Basketball PUMA NXTPRO

Try-Outs Players will be evaluated on the key fundamental areas of basketball (shooting, offense, dribbling, passing, and defense), as well as on the intangibles (teamwork, sportsmanship, coachability, hustle, work ethic). After the try-outs, coaches and evaluators will take a couple of days to deliberate. Players will be notified regardless of the outcome no later than Fri. Feb 28, 2025 by email.

Practice
Starting after their school season we will practice a minimum of two times during the week and one day on the weekend if we are not playing in tournament. Practice will start no earlier than 6:00 PM during the weekday and can end as late as 9:30pm. All practices will be held in the Mansfield, Arlington areas and depending on gym availability we may also extend to the Duncanville/Cedar Hill area. Every effort will be made to maintain a consistent practice schedule and location; however, practice times and location are dependent on the availability of the gyms and are subject to change. Practices will begin the week of March 3, 2025.

Tournaments
Tournament schedule has been listed separately. All teams formed will compete on the PUMA PRO16/NXT circuit. Players that accept offer are expected to commit to the entire schedule listed. Tournaments listed outside of PUMA are subject to change and all PUMA tournaments are final and mandatory to compete in if accepting roster spot. Please address any concerns with schedule at the time of offer.   

Participant Fees
Payments for the 2025 season will be detailed at the time of offer to join team. Parents should expect to pay a monthly fee of between $195 - $205 starting March to July. $100 commitment fee will be due at the time of acceptance (covers PUMA finals and AAU fee). The fees cover the following expenses: Monthly Tournament Cost, Monthly Practice Gym Rental, Player/ Club Insurance and Puma Finals Fees. Throughout the season we will fundraise to help go towards team fees and travel fees. Money raised for team fees will reduce payments for parents.
